6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Certency website — including text, graphics, logos, data visualizations, reports, and digital products — is the exclusive intellectual property of Certency and is protected by U.S. copyright law and international treaties.

The Certency name, logo, and brand marks are trademarks of Certency. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.

You may share links to Certency pages and quote brief excerpts (under 50 words) with proper attribution and a link back to the source page. Any other use of our content requires written permission.

7. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

Certency’s certification data — including job posting counts, salary figures, employer demand, and industry trends — is sourced from third-party APIs, primarily Adzuna’s job posting database. This data is provided for informational and research purposes only.

Important: Certency does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data displayed on the Site. Job posting counts and salary figures reflect data at the time of the most recent API refresh and may not reflect current market conditions. Past employer demand does not guarantee future hiring trends.

Certency is not responsible for any decisions made based on data provided on this Site, including career decisions, certification investments, or salary negotiations. We strongly recommend verifying important career data with multiple sources before making significant professional decisions.

8. Affiliate Relationships

Certency participates in affiliate marketing programs. When you click certain links on our Site and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships include but are not limited to:

  • Amazon Associates Program (certency-20)
  • Udemy affiliate program via Impact.com
  • Coursera affiliate program via Impact.com

Affiliate relationships do not influence our data, rankings, or editorial content. Our certification data is sourced from neutral third-party APIs regardless of affiliate relationships. For full details, see our Affiliate Disclosure.

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Site or our products to:

  • Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data from our certification pages or API feeds
  • Reproduce or republish our salary data, job posting counts, or employer demand data in competing products
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access our Site
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or databases
  • Engage in any activity that interferes with the operation of the Site
  • Violate any applicable federal, state, or local laws or regulations
  • Impersonate Certency or misrepresent your affiliation with us

We reserve the right to terminate access to any user who violates these prohibitions.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

No Professional Advice

Nothing on the Certency website constitutes professional career advice, financial advice, legal advice, or educational guidance. All content is for informational purposes only. You should consult qualified professionals before making significant career or financial decisions.

No Warranty

The Site and all content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Certency shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or career outcomes, arising from your use of or inability to use the Site or our products, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall not exceed the amount you paid to Certency in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Certency and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Site, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the state in which Certency is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association’s rules. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Certency.

Before initiating any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at support@certency.com and give us 30 days to attempt to resolve the issue informally.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email and post the updated Terms on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
