The Market Intelligence Platform for Professional Certifications
We track real employer demand for certifications so professionals can make smarter career decisions — and organizations can build smarter workforces.
Our Mission
Certency exists to bring transparency to the professional certification market. We believe that career decisions — especially the time and money invested in earning certifications — should be based on real data, not guesswork. Our mission is to track what employers actually want, surface what’s rising and declining in real time, and deliver that intelligence in a format anyone can act on.
What We Do
Certency is a certification intelligence platform. We continuously analyze millions of job postings across Indeed, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and 40+ additional job boards to track employer demand for professional certifications in real time.
Unlike guides that list certifications based on opinion or sponsorship, Certency’s rankings are driven entirely by data — how often a certification appears in job postings, how that frequency is trending over time, what salary premiums employers offer for it, and which industries and regions are asking for it most.
We cover hundreds of certifications across technology, cybersecurity, cloud computing, project management, human resources, data analytics, AI and machine learning, finance, healthcare IT, and more.
Why We Built This
The professional certification industry is massive — and largely opaque. Certification providers have an obvious incentive to market their own credentials as essential. Review sites are often driven by affiliate revenue rather than real-world demand data. Career coaches give advice based on anecdote, not evidence.
We built Certency because professionals deserve better. Whether you’re deciding between two certifications, evaluating your workforce’s skill gaps, or trying to understand where the market is heading — that decision should be grounded in what employers are actually asking for right now, not last year’s rankings or a sponsored listicle.
Our Values
How We Make Money
Certency is a free resource supported by affiliate partnerships and advertising. When you click a link to a certification program, training provider, or study resource and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
Our affiliate relationships include programs offered by Amazon, Coursera, Udemy, LinkedIn Learning, and others. These relationships do not influence our rankings or editorial content. Certifications are ranked and evaluated based solely on job posting data — not on which programs offer us higher commissions.
For full details, please read our Affiliate Disclosure.
Editorial Independence: Certency’s rankings, trend data, and reports are produced independently of our commercial relationships. No certification provider, training platform, or advertiser has paid for placement, a favorable ranking, or editorial coverage on this site. If that ever changes, we will disclose it clearly.
